Pics for Grandmother

Mom was wanting some new pictures. This was Sunday morning before church and they were reading on the couch! Maybe I should dress them up everyday, so they will just sit on the couch and read!!

When Pigs Fly!

Today is our last day of class for the 2nd. trimester. I was reminded of the movie "Charlotte's Web" when Wilbur watched the baby spiders fly away. I'm watching all my friends fly away to new adventures while I watch longingly from the "barnyard". Then it occurred to me that in 17 weeks this "pig" is going to sprout wings and fly too.

Popsicle Sticks are so much fun

Mama's plan was to let the ninos make little treasure boxes out of Popsicle Sticks. They had other plans, they decided they wanted to make swimming pools (I think they miss theirs) and people to go in them. Who wants an old boring treasure box?? So this is the fun we had with a little bit of yarn and cloth and lots of Popsicle sticks.

AMAZING!

Sierra, who by the way is 6. Had to do a 5 min presentation on Butterflies (Mariposas) in Spanish for her Kindergarten class. We made a lapbook to help her out and she had a new Butterfly outfit her Grandmother had sent her. She was a little nervous and I know her well enough to know if I was there she would keep looking to me if she forgot something. She speaks such great Spanish that I knew she would just get up there and rattle off in Spanish. That is exactly what she did. Teacher Victoria said she got up in front of the class. Settled herself and just rattled off everything she knew in perfect Spanish. She said she looked just like a little teacher - which is exactly what she wants to be. I made her do it for me at home so I could get some video. They were interrupted by her brothers so there are few. We are very proud of her!

The Cows have come to Costa Rica

There is an exhibition of art cows in San Jose Costa Rica and they are really neat. Some of our favorites are:
